Hello Hrishav,

There are three types of colleges in India - National level Government Colleges/Universities, Private Universities and Private/Government Colleges affiliated to State Government Universities. It depends on you in which college you want admission. For getting admission to National level Government Colleges you have to appear for National level entrance examination like NEET for medical, JEE for engineering, CLAT for law and many other as per your need. Private universities have their own entrance examinations for different courses. To get into Private/Government Colleges affiliated to State Government Universities then you have to appear for respective state entrance examination like UPSEE, MHCET, COMDEK, etc.
