BSc Nursing is a 4 years undergraduate course (along with 1 year as junior staff nurse) which makes candidates ready to serve humanity through medical treatment. There are 2 types of Bsc nursing courses : basic which is of 4 years and post-basic which is of 2 years. To be eligible to get admission in Bsc nursing candidate must have atleast 50% in 10+2 from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and biology as mandatory subjects. But the minimum cutoff may vary depending on the college. You can get direct admission on the basis of merit in 12th class or you can write some popular entrance exams such as Jipmer, SAAT, AUAT, ITM NEST etc. Then as per the marks/rank obtained in the entrance exam you will be alloted a seat in the college.
