Yes, Psychology is a good career option as human psychology is employed everywhere around us. From a Education perspective, Psychology is a study of understanding human behavior and mind. Psychology as profession is not about getting a degree and having a tag of psychologist. It's beyond that.

A psychology degree develops knowledge of human behavior as well as research, statistics, and writing skills. It also provides training in a number of skills which can be applied to many occupations and disciplines. It is a good option but it depends on your interest.
After your masters you can work in the following mentioned areas. There can be more options too as per your interest.
Counselors are required in NGOs, Old age homes, Rehabilitation Centers, Career counseling centers etc.
Clinical psychologists are in great demand, though they are not paid for the efforts they put in during their educational years. It is also required to complete your M.Phil, before you start to practice independently.
Organizational psychologists are in great demand and they work in big MNCs and organizations. You can also work in the HR department.
Research : Both qualitative and quantitative research are promising areas and there is an increasing demand in the area. You get a good salary Package you may pursue PhD if the area interests you after this you can apply for the Professor in any Institute or College.
