After 12 I dropped one year to crack clat 2017 but I fail i got 78 marks so what can I do now should I go for ICFAI dehradun or drop 1 year?

It is all about if you can manage to take a year drop again.

Otherwise you can take admission in the college you are getting and side by side prepare for CLAT for next year and if you managed to bring a good score then you can take admission on that NLU.

Yes you can. Most of the students manage to save their year as well.

but by this my first year studies will also get effected ?

It is upto you. if you are not sure of managing the both then either take the admission and foucs there or else simply take a last chance and prepare for it with more input and efforts.

my parents are not ready to drop one more year but I m totally interested in NLU last chance for me is to manage both I think
