On the other hand if you want to work in fields like healthcare, environment, pollution control which require knowledge of DNA, tissues, virus and other microorganisms  you should go for B.Tech in Biotechnology .

The starting salary after B.Tech in Biomedical engineering is around 2.4 lakh to 3.6 lakh per annum which can go up to 7.2 lakh to 9.6 lakhs per annum whereas if you are graduated in B.Tech in Biotechnology you may get a starting salary of around 3.6 lakhs to 4.8 lakhs per annum which may go up to 9.6 lakhs to 13.2 lakhs per annum based on experience.
