Correct Answer: 56 years
Solution : Given: After 4 years, Ramesh's age will be 50% more than his 16 years. Let Ramesh's present age be $x$ years. His age 16 years ago = $(x-16)$ years After 4 years, his age = $(x+4)$ years According to the question, $x+4=(x-16)+(x-16)\times \frac{50}{100}$ ⇒ $x+4=(x-16)+ \frac{x-16}{2}$ ⇒ $x+4=\frac{3x-48}{2}$ ⇒ $2x+8=3x-48$ ⇒ $3x-2x=8+48$ $\therefore x=56$ years Hence, the correct answer is 56 years.
