Hi, hope you’re well!
Here’s an explanation:
Having another degree is always a plus, but if it's in the same field as the one you already have, it won't make much of a difference. Now the question is whether MCA after BCA is necessary or not, and if not, what else should you do?
Simply put, a BCA degree is an undergraduate degree, while an MCA degree is a postgraduate degree. A higher-level degree will be a complement to the current degree. As an MCA major, it will classify your area of expertise and will validate not only your skills but also your expertise in that field.
An MCA degree qualifies you for a variety of high-level positions as a two-year, full-time programme. Furthermore, students will be kept up with the recent industry trends. It provides students with in-depth knowledge of the subject matter, allowing them to excel in their jobs and responsibilities.
What difference will MCA degree make after BCA?
The response to this question depends on whether you want to learn and develop your profile, or whether you want to put in the effort to acquire knowledge and improve your profile to outline your goals and ambitions.
Whatever path you take, the end result should be competitive pay, a high-profile job, and exemplary knowledge. Obtaining an MCA degree would provide you with extra benefits as well as a rewarding career.
A postgraduate degree has many advantages in terms of salary, designation, expertise, and career options. For instance:
Salary: Candidates with an MCA degree are recruited for higher positions, resulting in an increase in their pay package. An MCA intern's pay is comparable to that of a BCA graduate with one to two years of experience.
Designation: To be one of the best, you'll need a degree and a set of skills. An MCA degree prepares you for higher-level positions while also providing you with specific skills that are needed for that position. With a BCA degree, you can get there as well, but it will take years of experience; you can go either direction.
Knowledge: A job over a degree is recommended for those seeking practical expertise. A degree would be preferable for those who want to obtain more theoretical understanding and hands-on learning.

All the best!
Hello Aspirant,
No it is not important at all. If you complete your BCA successfully then you are eligible for most of the job roles but yes for some senior job posts some companies require MCA candidates so there you can lack of the opportunity. So if you are well skilled and have good knowledge of your stream then you will get good opportunities.
Also for promotion in Government jobs, sometime you are required to be a Master's degree holder so we can conclude that if you BCA then it is good but if you do MCA as well after BCA then it will make you eligible for lot of career opportunities so if you have time and also want to pursue MCA then I would recommend you to go with MCA after BCA.
Job roles which you can grab after completing BCA are :-
Software Developer
Web Developer
Programmer
System Engineer
I hope this information helps you.
