After board exam how can I start jee main preparation

After board exams,don't start immediately preparing for JEE MAINS,Take a rest of 2 days and then start preparing for the exam! Firstly concentrate on the main topics that need to be covered! and note down the important formulas,concepts and definitions on a notebook which will be easy while doing revision.

Practise for more than 10 hours a day and set a target,take a break of 10 minutes for every one hour and relax your mind,which will refresh your brain.

The most important part about both JEE Main & JEE Advanced is not how much syllabus you have covered, instead of how well you have mastered the topics in all three subjects Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

Your revision plan has to be very strong. The best way of revising now is by taking several tests. This helps you in two ways. Firstly you are doing a new question (since doing questions which you have already done before, won’t help much unless they have some specific importance). Secondly, you are doing it under a time limit. This is very important. Your endeavor is not just to solve the question but also to score your maximum possible marks in that test. So when you do questions under a time limit you realize your speed, accuracy, ability to think, level of stress within a set time and ability to let go of questions that may take a lot of time to solve (but would eventually get solved) and do more of those that may get done faster.

It would have helped if you had started your practice from class 12 itself. First note that almost half the questions asked on JEE Mains can be answered if you have a very good working knowledge of the NCERT syllabus. As the gap between the last board exam (if you aren't a dropper) and the Mains is just a matter of few days, you have no other choice of passing Mains other than to trust your skills and go work out.

But , you have a 8 days gap for your Maths exam. What I will advice you to do is to utilise your time effectively between board maths and the Mains PCM subjects. I hope you would have purchased the past year question papers of Mains. Practice that thoroughly, as it will help you to reinforce the concepts in your mind. I have a friend who did just that when I passed out 2 years back and who got a whopping 245, more than me!

Anyways, practice the old questions as I told you before, and also give mock exams held by the reputed coaching institutes if possible. Keep your concepts strong and since it is an online based exam, I would advice you to solve mock exams on the computer , which will help you get an examination feel. Keep revising the concepts as and when you get time and don't be overconfident that Mains is nothing.

• Solve the previous 25 years JEE Mains and AIEEE questions.
  
  
  
• Cover the Chemistry portion more efficiently referring to NCERT only.
  
  
  
• Solve 10-20 mock JEE Mains exam
  
  
  
• Revise the important formula related to PCM class 12 and 11.
  
  
  
• Mark the chapters in PCM from class 11 and 12, you are confident in and thoroughly prepare those chapters.
  
  
  
• Try to thoroughly study the chapters like semiconductors, sound amplification and modulation, biomolecules,polymers etc...which are easy to cover in one time and get certain weightage in the exam.
• Keep yourself healthy and hydrated.

After your boards exams are over you can start your revision for JEE Main.

If you want you can make your proper time table so that you can easily revise all the chapters on time. You can set your daily and weekly targets.

You should focus on the topics which carries more weightage in the exam.

Refer previous year papers and mock test series for your practice.
