Hello,

Bachelor Preparatory Program is offered by the Indira Gandhi National Open University to the candidates who wish to pursue Bachelors Degree offered in IGNOU but do not have the essential qualification that is 10+2 level. Such candidates without 10+2 Education Qualification can do BPP and then pursue higher studies. You cannot appear for NEET UG if you have done BPP as it is not equivalent to 10+2 level examination. You must have passed 10+2 with Biology/BioTechnology, Physics, Chemistry and English from a recognized board. If you belong to general category you need to score minimum 50% aggregate marks in Biology/BioTechnology, Physics and Chemistry taken together, if you belong to PWD category you need to score minimum 45% aggregate marks in Biology/BioTechnology, Physics and Chemistry taken together, if you belong to SC/ST category you need to score minimum 40% aggregate marks in Biology/BioTechnology, Physics and Chemistry taken together. Your age must be minimum 17 years as of December 31st in the year of admission.

BPP is a preparatory course by IGNOU ( Indira Gandi National open university) Bachelor Preparatory program. It is not equivalent to 10+2 that is 11 and 12th class.
Here are the eligibility criteria for giving Neet exam:-

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognized board.

Class 12 or equivalent appearing aspirants are also eligible to apply for NEET.
  • Candidates must have completed 17 years age on December 31, 2022.
  • There are no restrictions on the maximum NEET attempt limit 2022.

Hope now you get your answer. It is not equivalent to 10+2 examinations. It is only for taking admission in Ignou Bcom etc. Course
