Usually it is 2 years but there are some universities which give admission in 3 year programme. So, this depends entirely upon the university in which you are seeking admission. MCA is generally a three-year course. If you have done BCA or some other similar course you can get admissions directly in the 2nd year of MCA. This is known as the lateral entry. It all depends upon the norms of the university through which you want to pursue MCA.
