Astrophysics is the branch of astronomy that deals with the physics of the universe including physical properties of celestial objects and their interaction and behavior.

The eligibility criteria for the master's degree in astrophysics is as below:

You must have completed your bachelor's degree in mathematics or physics from a recognized university .

You will be only able to get admission in good colleges for this course if you have higher % of marks in graduation.

Separated entrance examinations are conducted by the different colleges for this course.

The best institute for pursuing this course is as below:

1.Indian Institute of Astrophysics

2.BITS ,Pilani

3.Indian Institute of technology

4.JNTU college of engineering

5.Indian Institute of science.

After completing this course ,you will be able to become astronomer,lecturer,scientist.

But in IIA and IISc students needs to complete their MSc program in science then they can join IIA and IISc for astronomy

Hi i m studing bsc physics. I want to join MSC astrophysics so what is processing for the entrance exam. Could u pl specific it and what all the subjects for the exam. And if possible pl let me now the fees which college is good for the course of MSC astrophysics

Hello

Hey!

Absolutely yes!  It is at least one of the options was to get a degree in physics and then astrophysics in any good institute.

But the most preferred is doing BSc and MSc physics (dual degree) and then MSc, Phd as before doing astrophysics you atleast haha masters degree with which you can work while studying astrophysics. A Phd in astrophysics will help you more.

This dual degrades offered in IITs, IISc, IISER( i found only these).
