Hello Swara,
A teacher is a trained practitioner who imparts knowledge to students through academic learning. Students learn through a designed curriculum that includes a variety of subjects and activities under the supervision of teachers. There is a specialised teacher for each subject who helps students through the learning process and grades them depending on their academic performance.
A Senior Secondary School Certificate or Intermediate or its equivalent, as well as a Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.), or Diploma or certificate in basic teachers' training of at least two years duration, are required for employment as a Primary Teacher in a Government School.
Another general need is an Ed degree (Bachelor's of Education) with a minimum of 55 percent marks to become a teacher. The pass percentage required may differ from one school to the next. In addition to a B. Ed, some colleges require a master's degree in the relevant discipline to teach higher level classes.
