After completing Graduation  with any course you have to do B.Ed ( Bachelor's in Education), Government of India made it mandatory for Candidates who were applying for Government school teachers.

The minimum required eligibility to apply for the Bachelor of Education is   Graduation with minimum 50% from a recognized university.  Aspirants should always check the recognition status of a university institute on the official website of NCTE. Govt of India has made it mandatory for the Government teachers to acquired B.Ed.

For being a School Teacher: You need a Post-Graduation degree in a teaching subject (non-professional, degree courses) and a Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) degree. You can pursue post-graduation in any discipline

You are eligible for teaching in schools of India. However there are various schools which gives priority e to the persons who have completed their 1 year Bachelor of Education degree after completing their respective graduation.

If you complete your bachelor of education then your chances of getting jobs in various schools will increase so much. There is also age limit for getting jobs in some schools. The maximum age of male candidate can be 40 years and 45 years can be the maximum age of female candidate.
