Hello Adarsh. National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is conducted under the regulations of Council of Architecture. The eligibility for appearing in NATA is prepared according to the Minimum Standard of Architectural Education (Amendment) Regulations 2019 which came into effect from 12 February, 2019.

Eligibility criteria for NATA 2019

-For appearing in NATA, it is compulsory for the candidate to pass Class 12th Examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The candidate must have atleast 50% marks including all the subjects (main paper+ optional subjects) in Class 12th.

-Students obtaining Diploma courses in various fields may also be eliigible for NATA but they must have scored atleast 50% in Mathematics as Compulsory Paper. If they do not have Mathematics as a Compulsory subject then they will be ineligible to sit in the exam.

Syllabus for NATA 2019

-NATA Latest Syllabus of two parts namely Part A and Part B.

In Part A, there are 60 multiple choice questions each carrying 2 marks. In this, there will be 20 questions from Advanced Mathematics (Logs, Trigonometry, Geometry, Calculus, Stats, Probability, etc) and 40 questions from General Aptitude (Verbal, Non-Verbal and Numerical Representations). Part A consists a total of 120 marks (60x2 =120).

Part 2 of the paper includes Drawing section where 2 drawing where 2 questions will be given each carrying 40 marks. Part B consists a total of 80 marks (40x2).

After the results of the NATA will be declared, then the dates of counselling will be released. You need to regularly check for the updates so that you do not miss the opportunity. Once you found yourself eligible for counselling, you can visit the counselling centre and may get admission.

Factor associated with Counselling Process:

-The seat allotment procedure depends upon the marks achieved by you. If you score is very low, then your counselling will be conducted after a long time which means that seats of the top colleges will be no longer available as it will be occupied by the students who score more than you. You will only find seats in average colleges. But, if a student fails to attend the counselling, then you have get the chance the probability for this is very low. So, better prepare yourself so that you may not suffer the same problem.

All the Best!!
