After completing m.pharm, 18 months experience is necessary for drug inspector exam??
Hello Aspirant. I hope you are doing good. To become a Drug Inspector, a candidate needs to fulfill some eligibility criteria prior to applying for the job.
Firstly, a candidate must complete a 4-years UG degree course on B.Pharm (Bachelors of Pharmacy) or B.Sc. in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Secondly, a candidate may pursue and complete a 2-years PG degree on M.Pharm or M.Sc in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Pharmacology etc. (although this is not mandatory).
Thirdly, a candidate is expected to have a 3 years (or 18 months) experience in manufacturing or testing of Schedule C or C1 drugs in pharmaceutical industry. (This criteria is preferred by UPSC although this is not essential for most of SPSC jobs).
After writing the exam conducted by UPSC or SPSC as well as document verification, a medical exam is also conducted, prior to the final interview of the applicant.
