In general , there are 2 types of recuritment postings are there for Indian Navy . First one is an officer post and second is a sailor post. Assuming you want to join the officers post, It is divided into various fields like engineering, executive,electrical etc.(you can refer join indian navy). Since you have your UG in computer science you will be elegible to apply for IT wing, ATC wing and observatory wing. For that you have 3 paths or 3 ways of joining the navy :

Path A: UPSC exams (NDA and NA)

After exams you will be called upon based on your ranks and will be given another set of tests like SSB

Path B: Direct Entry Permanent Commission /Short Service Commission

Path C: University Entry Scheme (UES) ie Via Indian Naval Academy

To get into Merchant Navy you have two options, either Engine side or deck side.

To get into Engine department you either have to do Marine Engineering or do Mechanical Engineering and then apply for GME(graduate marine engineer) course.

To get into deck department either you can opt for DNS course after 12th or do BSc Nautical Science.

Since you have already done your BE in CS, its better to look for the options in your own field, because if you join now, you will have to start all over again from 12th grade studies.
