BSc Radiology introduces the student to the basic bifurcation of the science of Radiology such as Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology. Diagnostic Radiology concerns itself with the use of X-Ray imaging and allied techniques for diagnoses of diseases and effects of injury on the body. Interventional Radiology deals with the use of invasive procedures for diagnoses and treatment with the employment of imaging technology (X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI). Students can pursue PhD or MPhil degrees to specialize in a number of allied fields like Diagnostic Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Vascular and Interventional Radiology Pediatric Radiology, Nuclear Radiology, Pain Medicine and Neuroradiology.

The proliferation of medical facilities and the Government’s thrust on health care promises a bright future for Radiology professionals. After successfully completing the program students can find direct employment in clinics, nursing homes, public health centers, hospitals, diagnostic centers and research sector.
