Hello Sanket Vishwas Musale,
The AME course is for the students who have cleared their normal engineering and want to do their specialization in aviation field. Although the eligibility for the course is 12th Std. But when you go for a job interview, the one with a regular degree gets higher percentage of chance of getting the job.
Also it is not necessary for you to get into some college or institute to get AME license. In fact if you are really interested to get into the aviation field, then
Get a regular college engineering degree(any engineering degree approved by UGC)
Enroll yourself for a training program in Air India or any other institute related to the aviation through your influences, some fees etc. min 6 months to get yourself acquainted with the work you are going to get to do.
Search for a job.( Believe me, you can get a job in the Indian Aviation industry with a regular degree and a basic 6 month training within a reputed company more easily than with a AME course certification.)
Apply for Paper I to DGCA, Central Govt. of India after you have acquired the needed experience through training.(forms are easily available, if you Google it)
Once you start studying for your first paper, you will get to know everything that is required to survive in the aviation industry.
DO NOT ENTER THE AVIATION INDUSTRY BY LUCK.
Be 100% sure before entering into the Indian aviation or else be prepared to fly foreign(Qatar or any Gulf country), to survive in the field.
.
Its good actually, if you are seriously interested in Aviation, that too in maintenance (Engineering section).
I would like to tell you that the passing marks of AME EXAMS is 75% in India (i am not demotivating you, just telling you the truth hidden inside the core of this glorious field) and apart from that you really need to clear the exams if you are really serious about your career (DGCA AME modular exams) and there is a little struggle in starting of your career (finding job), after completion of your studies.
Hope you may be aware that this course is neither a Degree nor Diploma, just a Certificate course. Once you cleared studies from DGCA approved institute, you will get C of C (Course completion certificate) then you need to clear DGCA AME exams and post after having sufficient maintenance experience on particular type of aircraft, you can apply for AME license and Now you are Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Without your signature, aircraft will not fly, nor pilot gonna accept it). hahaha…
Hope this helps...
Thank you and all the best...
