After diploma if I have to take admission in gov. Engineering college for mechanical trade then how much percent should I require.
Hey Siddhi,
It depends how much you have scored in JEXPO or other lateral entry exam and it also depends how much the cutoff of that college is set for diploma intake or lateral entry. Generally to get in any govt. engineering college you must need higher marks so that you can get admission in that college with the branch you want to get in. Or you can contact to the colleges for direct entry and its only for private institutes.
Hope you found this helpful
all the best
Hi Siddhi,
If you want to take admission in Btech after a Diploma then you can opt for Lateral Entry Scheme that many colleges offer. Lateral entry scheme is intended to admit meritorious diploma holders to the second year of the B.Tech courses to acquire a degree in engineering. The top notch colleges of the country have the provision to Lateral entry for diploma. They have a fixed number of seats allotted for students. Elligibilty Criteria for the Lateral Entry is :
1.Students who have completed first year in B.Tech from a recognised university or passed three years diploma after 10+2 with minimum aggregate of 60% marks in science and maths field.
2.Those who are appearing for the final year diploma examination are also eligible to apply for direct second year engineering admission, subject to the condition that they shall produce the provisional certificate at the time of admission.
Good Luck !!
