After doing diploma in computer engineering, you can go for b.tech in computer engineering through lateral entry, because to apply in most of the government jobs, graduation is mandatory.

•After doing b.tech, you can apply for GATE and get jobs into several PSUs which hire candidates through their GATE scores.
•You can apply for IES(Indian engineering services) exam to get jobs into Indian railways, Power telecommunications etc.

•And there are certain PSUs which conduct their own entrance exams for recruitment like DRDO etc.
