Hello

Yes ,you are eligible for aeronautical engineering after your diploma in mechanical engineering.

You are eligible for lateral entry in second year of B.E/Tech. Only a limited number of prominent colleges offer this branch of engineering including

  1. Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh
  2. Anna University, Chennai
  3. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad
  4. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology, Vasad- (Dist Anand) (affiliated to Gujarat University), Hindustan College of Engineering, Chennai-603103, Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Secunderabad-500011, Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology

Diploma holders can acquire degrees on clearing the exams of the Aeronautical Society of India. Students who have passed Standard XII/II PUC with physics and mathematics can enrol for a three-year course, equivalent to an aeronautical engineering course, with the AMAESI (Associate Membership of Aeronautical Society of India) Institutes, which conduct the course and make arrangements for practical training.

Good luck.
