The ranks are category rank and the seats are offered on the basis of category rank in the josaa counselling platform you can select the category and find closing rank of various colleges   therefore the reservation based admission offers rank is based on the category and admission is given on the category rank.

JoSAA seat allotment college wise will mention the category and against each category it will display the opening and closing rank respectively.You can see the category and their respective rank for each branch.The rank mentioned against the category is rank based on category.The rank mentioned against CRL/Open category is the general merit rank.
