After my BA history vocational what are the courses available to do?
Hi Madhumitha,
Here are some courses which one can do after getting graduation from b.a history.
- Teaching - Teaching history is the most comfortable job after studying history. You may or may not go for masters but get a BEd or the requisite diploma to teach at school level. Research - You may study further and join research institutions and think tanks.
- Government Jobs - BA (Hons) History gives a firm footing for UPSC and other government avenues. History sharpens you and if you have sincerely studied and imbibed history, you will be a lot sharper by the end of third year and you shall have a strong chance of clinching a government job.
- Archaeology - You can go on to study archaeology and serve in ASI or in state government’s departments.
- Museum work - There are so many courses related to museums, specialising in various aspects of museum stuff and having a historical background, you will have a strong chance at acing at museum work.
- Organisations - There are non governmental organisations working for history and heritage where you may seek work, such as INTACH.
Hope this help you.
