Hi
Actually the number of attempts made by you is not the right thing to judge your eligibility for JEE main because earlier jee main was conducted twice a year and so one had a total of six attempts whereas now from this year it is conducted 4 times a year.
Can you please help us with your 12th passing year?
This is because,
One can give JEE Mains entrance examination for a maximum of 3 consecutive years starting from the year of passing 12th board examination.
Any way,
If you have passed in 2018 or before then you are not eligible for jee main .
But,
If you have passed 12th in 2019 , then you will be eligible for jee main 2021 and can apply for jee main 2021 May session.
For your reference,
Jee main eligibility criteria is given below-
-) Qualification required :- to be eligible for JEE mains for BE or Btech you need 10+2/equivalent qualification with Physics, mathematics as compulsory subject along with anyone of Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational Subject.
-) Passing year :- one is eligible for JEE main examination for consecutive three years starting from the year of appearing for 12th /equivalent examination i. e to be eligible for JEE mains 2021 you should be either appearing for 12th board exam or equivalent in 2021 or should have passed it in 2020 or 2019
-) There is no age limit to be eligible
-) there is no minimum percentage requirement to be eligible for JEE Main.
But yes,
To be eligible for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs one needs at least 75% marks in class 12th if belongs to General or OBC category or at least 65% marks in class 12th if belongs to Sc or St category. For this year i. e 2021 this minimum percentage requirement of 75% - 65 % has been lifted off.

Hello Aspirant,
As we know that maximum of three attempts are only allowed for JEE-Main after passing of class 12th which also includes the passing year of class 12th so for e.g. if you have passed your class 12th in 2019 then you were only eligible for JEE-Main 2019, 2020 and 2021. You cannot appear for JEE-Main 2022. But yes if not JEE-Main then there are some other entrance exams which you can write for admission to engineering colleges :-
BITSAT - BITS Pilani
VITEEE - VIT University
SRMJEEE - SRM Institute of Science and Technology (Earlier known as SRM University)
MET - Manipal Academy of Higher Education
COMEDK UGET - Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK).
KIITEE - Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology
