after passing the IIT JAM can i get admission in private college

As the name suggests, IIT JAM is only for admission in the IITs. You won't get admission in any other private institute by appearing for this examination. Here's a list of the participating institutes: https://university.careers360.com/articles/jam-participating-institutes
