After pursuing b.tech in civil engineering and having 1-year experience. What are the options I can pursue?
Hello
Firstly, you will have to decide that you wish to pursue master's in civil engineering or in the related fields of engineering or you would like to move into the management stream and look at an MBA.
This is the first decision that you will have to take for yourself.
You have one year work experience so you should start the process and try to get admission into the masters program. You have enough time to prepare for whichever stream you decides. If you wish to go with the technical stream, you will have to write the GATE exam. In case you wish to go for the managerial stream then you will have to write the CAT exam which is the entrance test for IIMs and other b schools which are affiliated to the CAT process. You will have to take any coaching because both these exams are very competitive therefore, a lot of effort will be required to score maximum marks. Today, India is seeing a lot of infrastructure boom and it is going to continue for the time to come so careers in that direction are available in plenty so decide consciously what is your area of interest.
