Hello
The India Airforce IAF conducts its entrance exams, such as the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), basically in the English language. The official language for communication and examination purpose in the Indian Air Force is English. This includes the written exams, interviews, and other selection processes.
However, there is provisions for the candidates to choose between English and Hindi for certain sections of the exam, particularly for the language proficiency part.
English is chosen as the language for training in the Indian Air Force (IAF) because it's a common language understood by all candidates attending the training sessions. Using English as the medium of instruction helps candidates from different backgrounds communicate effectively. It also builds their confidence, especially since the training covers technical, ground duty, and pilot subjects, and all the modules are in English.
The IAF officially releases the AFCAT exam pattern to guide students on how the exam is structured. Knowing the AFCAT exam pattern helps students prepare better. It tells them which sections the questions will come from, the total marks, marking scheme, time duration, and question paper pattern.
In the AFCAT exam pattern for 2024, candidates need to answer 100 questions. The number of questions varies based on whether they are applying for a technical or non-technical branch. Understanding this pattern helps candidates plan their preparation effectively for the exam.
