Hello aspirant,

Students who have completed 12 th standard or HSC vocational exam or equivalent exam from a recognised Board are eligible for HSEE exam. HSEE full form is Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination. This entrance examination is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. It is conducted to give admission for students into Masters degree offered by Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, of the Institute.

It is conducted once per year and it is a online exam for 3 hours duration. There are total 58 seats available. Minimum 60 percentage is necessary in 12 th standard or HSC vocational exam or equivalent exam from recognised Board for General Category/ OBC students and 55 percentage for SC/ST students.

The application is made online and you need to provide few documents along with the form. The application fee for OBC/General Category students is Rs. 2400 and for SC/ST students it is Rs. 1200.

The subjects for HSEE exam are English, Essay Writing, Analytical and Quantitative Ability and General Studies. The exam result is valid up to 1 year.
