With 300 marks considering 2019 cut off you may not get seat in government college even with SC reservation. You need to score minimum 380 marks to get seat in a government medical college. ANd if you score around 380 marks you may have chances of getting seat in colleges like Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education & Research (SMIMER), A.M.C. M.E.T. Medical College, GMERS Medical College, Banas Medical College & research Institute, Nootan Medical College and Research Centre, Shantabai Medical College etc. Depending on number of sests, number of students appeared and difficulty of exam cut off changes.
In 2019, under State Quota, 322 marks secured a seat in Zydus Medical College and Hospital under SC Category. Now Zydus is a Government Medical College. 393 was the cut off in Smt. NHL Muncipal Medical College under SC Category. GMERS Medical College, Valsad secured a seat with a score of 365. But for GMC, 450 was the cut off with GMC, Bhavnagar having the least score. Now this is 2019 data and 300 didn't get a seat anywhere. Now cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. So for a seat under SC Category and for a seat in a GMC, you will ave to target atleast 500 and above.
