Hello student,

No, you will not be eligible for NEET 2026 if you were born on 15th May 2009 . According to the NEET eligibility criteria , candidates must be at least 17 years old by 31st December of the admission year.

For NEET 2026, you would need to be 17 by December 31, 2026 , but you will only turn 17 in May 2026 . Hence, you will be eligible for NEET in 2027 , not 2026.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Hello,

To determine eligibility for NEET 2026, let's check the age criteria.

As per the National Testing Agency (NTA) guidelines, the minimum age requirement for NEET is:

- 17 years as on December 31, 2026

Considering your birthdate (May 15, 2009), you'll be:

You meet the minimum age requirement!

Hello,

The age of the candidate should be at least 17 years on December 31st of the year of admission. Since you were born on May 15, 2009, you will attain 17 years as on May 15, 2026. Therefore, you will be eligible for NEET 2026 since you would have completed the minimum number of years by the end of the year of admission.

You must have qualified 10+2 education (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English at least with 50% aggregate in PCB for general category candidates and 40% aggregate for the reserved categories.

Don't fail to note any updates the eligibility criteria entail because it does change. So, based on the birthdate and current rules, you would qualify to apply for NEET in 2026.
