Each branch is UNIQUE in its own way:
Electronics and Communication:
If you are interested in learning about cutting edge technology , How your mobile works, how is data transmitted from one device to other ,how are physical signals converted into 1s and 0s, how the device recognises whether 1s and 0s are which type of data , how satellites and towers work, how routers work, how is network set up,and all latest technology that works under 30volts,or technology which helps to aid devices which runs under 30 volts . Electronics is the branch for you.
Scope:
As there is lots of research going on making things small and handy need of electronics engineer is increasing day by day
ECE engineer can work in data centres to and can set up optimised networks
Can work in StartUps and make handy embedded products(modues like fitbits, wireless controllers etc)
Salary:
Salary depends on skill-set of person and interest of job offering company
salary range : 4lpa-20lpa (freshman), no upper bound.
Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Electrical engineeringdeals with electricity, electro-magnetism and electronics. It also covers power, control systems. These engineers are usually concerned with large-scale electrical systems such as motor control and power transmission, as well as utilizing electricity to transmit energy. Electrical engineers may work on a diverse range of technologies, from the design of household appliances, lighting and wiring of buildings, telecommunication systems, electrical power stations and satellite communications. They may plan their designs using computer-aided software or they may also sketch ideas by hand. They work with technology above 220volts .
Scope :
They work in Government PSU with decent salaries
Electrical Engineers deal with power generation and transmission systems.
EEE engineers, design circuits for electrically operated vehicles, computers, digital devices, electronic memory storage devices, industrial robots and CNC machines.
EEE Engineers setup & operate the telecommunication, wireless and internet networks.
Salary:
