Dear, NIT - Trichy is much better than NIT - Surathkal in terms of academics and placements. Hi, NIT , Trichy has been ranked number one among the NITs for a while now, whereas, NIT - Surathkal is said to be in top 3 but its position keeps on fluctuating. Both the NITs are among the top 3 NITs of India. But, NIT-Trichy has an upper hand on NIT-Surathkal as the ranking and placement statistics of NIT-Trichy is better than Surathkal. So, I would suggest you go for NIT-Trichy. All the best. If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11th rank while NIT, Warangal stands at 22nd rank. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar. The faculty in both the colleges is comparable as they follow government rules for recruitment of professors. Coming to the placements. In 2017 NIT, Surathkal saw a placement of 100% for the CSE department while NIT-Trichy also had 100% placement for 2017.
