Correct Answer: 6125
Solution :
Let the village's initial population be 100$x$.
The population after death = 100$x$ – (5% of 100$x$) = 100$x$ – 5$x$ = 95$x$
After fleeing out, the population = 95$x$ – (20% of 95$x$)
= 95$x$ – ($\frac{20}{100}$ × 95) = 95$x$ – 19$x$ = 76$x$
According to the question,
76$x$ = 4655
⇒ $x$ = $\frac{4655}{76}$ = 61.25
So, the original population is (61.25 × 100) = 6125
Hence, the correct answer is 6125.
