Animal fibers are obtained from wool and silk. After Plant fibers or Vegetable, Animal fibers are the 2 nd most widely used natural fibers. They are consists of proteins. Examples are wool fiber which is obtained from goats, sheep, lamas, musk oxen, rabbits, etc. Silk fiber is obtained from silkworms. Collagen fiber extracted from the animal skins.Fur fiber is obtained from sheep wool.

After vegetable fibres, animal fibres are widely used. They are basically obtained from animals like goat, sheep, lamas ,ox, cows and more.
The most widely used fibres like wool is obtained from sheeps and silk from silkworms
