Hello, Phylum is a taxonomic classification under the hierarchy of Kingdom. There are 34 phylum identified till now. You will be studying about 10 major phylum in your academics. They are
- Porifera- animals with pores
- Cnidaria- animals with stinging cells
- Platyhelminthes- flatworms
- Annelida- animals having circular segments
- Mollusca-muscular animals with shells
- Arthropoda-segmented bodies with joint legs
- Chordata- animals with hollow nerve cord
- Nematoda-round and thread worms
- Echinodermata- animals with radial symmetry and calcified spines
- Hemichordata-Acorn worms
