Hello Student,

Anode Rays depend on the nature of the gas present in the discharge tube because:

  1. They are made up of electrons.
  2. The electrons are same in every gas as they are universal constituents.
  3. Anode rays are made up of positive ions and these are dependent of nature of gas present in tube because positive ions differs for each gas.
