The JOSAA Spot round is conducted for the vacant seats after all the 7 rounds of counselling in NITs, GFTIs, IIITs and IITs.
In most of the cases, IITs would not have any seat vacant after the 7 rounds of JOSAA counselling. The 7 rounds are conducted to ensure minimum vacant seats. And most of the times, the IITs don't have any seat vacant after the counselling process.
But by chance, if there are any seat vacant in IITs, you can try for spot round if there is any.

You must ask your question by specific details.
However I am afraid to inform you that by JOSAA JEE MAIN counselling is not particularly for IIT seats, it's specially for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. For getting IIT seats you have to sit for JEE ADVANCED and do IIT JEE counselling. If you are asking for that then you must mention your rank, category etc.
Ok now coming to the point i.e. if few seats become vacant in IIT instituions through IIT JEE Counselling, then only you can grab that seat in JoSAA spot round.
