Any entrance exam for PG Linguistics?

MA Linguistics at EFLU, I must say, is a highly specialized course. Unless you are very serious about MA Linguistics and are aware of its prospects, you had better think of other courses. MA English under Cafeteria (choice based) system at EFLU allows you to do courses in Linguistics (such as Phonetics, Syntax, Linguistics, Phonology etc) in addition to courses in English Literature. If you take admission to MA English (provided you clear the entrance test), you can fulfill your ambition of Linguistics and also get an MA English degree, which has more openings. It is not to belittle Linguistics. One has to have that specialized aptitude for it.

EFLU is perhaps currently the best place to do Linguistics, besides JNU and HCU in that order. In other universities, the courses are General Linguistics. In EFLU, it is English Linguistics.

Now, the entrance test would certainly include questions on grammar, phonetics, phonology, morphology, logical reasoning etc. After the courses are advertised, the university posts on its website, the question paper of last year as a model. One can prepare on those lines.
