You haven't mentioned about the program you want to get addmission.

There are various competetive exams needed for different courses , we call as entrance exams.

For example candidates aspiring for medical courses need to appear for Neet. Neet is National eligibility cum entrance test.

For engineering aspirants entrance exam is jee mains or CET ( Common Entrance test.

For addmisdion to Bsc nursing you will have to appear for Neet or a few  universities conduct their own entrance exam.

For addmission to degree courses , Bachelor of commerce, Bachelor of arts , Bachelor of science you don't have to appear for any entrance test . It is based on your class xii marks.
