Architecture focuses more on the spatial technicality of the project and is more concerned with the artistry, look, feel, and functionality of the design. On the other hand, Civil Engineering concentrates on the structural elements of the design, making certain that the structure is rigid enough.
Even though civil engineers take part in the design process, architectures take away the lead role. The civil engineer will be responsible for finding suitable materials, suggesting modifications and alterations and evaluating the structural integrity to transform the architect's vision into reality.
These are the basic difference between these two. If you are more interested in the design process go for architecture, and if you are more keen about the structural process, opt civil engineering.
All the best.
