1) Candidates from general (UR) / general-EWS and OBC must hold an M.Sc. or equivalent degree / Integrated BS-MS / BS-4 years / BE / B.Tech / B. Pharma / MBBS with at least 55% marks in order to be eligible for CSIR UGC NET.
2) Candidates who are currently enrolled in an M.Sc. course or have completed their graduation are also eligible for CSIR UGC NET 2021 under Result Awaited (RA) category given that they complete their degree with the required scores within two years.
3) Candidates from SC/ST and persons with disability (PwD) category are required to attain a minimum of 50% marks in M.Sc. or equivalent degree / Integrated BS-MS / BS-4 years / BE / B. Tech / B. Pharma / MBBS.
4) Candidates who hold B.Sc (Hons) or equivalent degree or currently enrolled in Integrated MS-Ph.D program scoring minimum 55% marks for General candidates (50% marks for SC/ST/PWD) are also eligible for the exam.
5) Bachelor’s degree holders are eligible for the fellowship given that they get registered/enrolled for Ph.D /Integrated PhD program within two years.
6) Candidates who have completed their Master’s degree before September 19, 1992, with a minimum of 50% marks will be eligible to apply for a Lectureship only.

According to the CSIR UGC NET exam qualifying criteria, you must have received at least 50% in your B.Tech degree.
However, if you are in your last semester, you may make an application, but you must apply under the result awaiting category. In this case, you must submit your aggregate marks after completing your B.Tech degree in order to be considered for the fellowship.
