HELLO,
Yes North-East NIT (NIT AGARTALA) is safe for south indians students, no need to worry how north -eastern NIT is ? north -eastern NIT is good specially i talked about NIT Agartala, this colleges is very safe for all students of all parts of india.
No any language problem if you know little more English.
Be happy , you can choose clg like NIT silcher,NIT agartala.
I am from 19–23 batch NIT Agartala. I am from Visakhapatnam. Lets discuss is statistically. The intake of NIT-A is around 800 out of which 400 are Bengali (Home State), 400 are rest of India.
In our 19–23 batch, there are 132 boys and 23 girls from AP and Telangana, Total Telugu students = 155. It means (155/400) = 40% of other state quota students are only Telugu. There is no difference of AP, TS among us. Other students from TN, KA, KL add up the number to around 170.
In our batch around 500 students stay in hostel and rest are day scholars. So in hostel 35% of students are from South. You will also get many good and best friends from North India too. Dont worry about it. We can opt south mess from second year, also have a paid South Canteen in NIT, where we get all our Soth Indian tiffins, snacks. We have high class facilities and infrastructure.
You are most welcomed to NIT-A.
I think your doubt is clear now.
Hello,
Yes, It is safe. More than 20-25% students in every batch of north eastern NITs are from Southern India. There are many rumors which have led you to ask these questions but rest assured they were rumors only. People here are open minded and kind hearted. Your seniors will help you and guide you. You won't even have to work hard to make friends as they are very friendly. You won't have any communication problem unless you are poor in English as northeastern people are very fluent in english.
Hope this was helpful
