Are questions in viteee more theoretical or formula based and if its more theoretical, will reading only ncert work for physics and chem ?
NCERT will work for most questions as directly formulas are to be applied.
But some questions require good thinking and they could be referred to as out of box questions.

VITEEE questions paper is both theoretical and formula based.
If you are well prepared for JEE Main exam you can crack VITEEE exam easily.
NCERT book is very important to score good marks in your exam.
Apart from NCERT you can go for Arihant series and below recommended books

HC Verma
Chemistry
Khan Academy
Mathematics
RD Sharma
You should also refer previous year papers to understand the type and level of the questions asked in the exam and mock test series for your practice.

hai Ardhendu, It was quite difficult to say whether the questions will be theoretical or formula based ,but mostly i can say they will be 40% formula and 60% theory maximum every examination follows the same reading ncert books works a lot along with complete your acedamic books also
