Are Students from Karnataka eligible for TS Eamcet
Hello Nida,
I am listing the eligibility criteria for AP Eamcet below. Please check it out. The eligibility standards is different as per courses offered by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
- In order to write EAMCET you must belong to the state of Telangana and AP.
- A candidate applying for the EAMCET, must satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the Telangana/Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
For Engineering, Bio- Technology, B.Tech & for 50% seats in B. Pharmacy, B.Sc Courses, A candidate must satisfy the following requirements :
- An Aspirant should have passed or appearing in 12th class with Mathematics, Physics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Biology as optional or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology or equivalent.
- The candidates who have cleared or appearing in the final year of the diploma examination in engineering or any other examinatio can also apply.
- An aspirant must have secured minimum 45% marks (for general candidates) and 40% marks (for reserved candidates) in the 12th or equivalent exam.
For B.Pharmacy Courses for the remaining 50% seats, the eligibility criteria are as follows :
- An aspirant must qualify 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology optionals.
- There is no upper age limit to apply.
- An aspirant have to secure minimum 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination.
Note :
- The examination body will also release free TS EAMCET Sample Papers for the aspirants.
- The question paper set will be prepared out of syllabus of intermediate level (10+2). So please study hard!
For Pharma-D Course (50% Seats For M.P.C And 50% Seats For Bi.P.C Candidates), the eligibility criteria is as follows :
- An aspirant must have passed or appeared for 10+2 examination or equivalent from any recognized board in Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
- One must have passed or appeared in final year of the Diploma examination or equivalent in Pharmacy course from any recognized of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
- You must have secured a minimum of 45% (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination.

Dear Nida,
You are eligible as they have two criteria one is on the basis of nationality i.e, you have to be an Indian and the second one is you have to be a domicile of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
So you can apply as an Indian citizen.

Yes you are eligible not only from Karnataka Every state students can write but only disadvantage is you have only 15% seats overall.

TSEAMCEAT entance exam is for the candidates who belong to Telangana state. But I can suggest you other entrance exams which are valid in your state as well.
1) COMEDK entrance exam: The entrance exam is valid all over India, but you will get admission only in Karnataka state private colleges.
2) Uni- GUAGE: This entrance is also valid all over India and best part is you can apply for any private universities across India.
