ARE THERE ANY ENGINEERING COLLEGES, WHERE I CAN GET BENEFIT IN ADMISSION DUE TO SPORTS QUOTA?

Hi,
National institutes like IITs, NITs, IIITs etc. dont have the sports quota actually. First you need to specify the state you belong to as this criteria will vary from state to state. Also if there is an entrance exam, you will in all probabilities need to appear for it as the relaxation is mostly given for the students in the eligibility like pass percentage or there are some seats reserved for them but no exemption from the entrance test. Please mention the state you belong to as well as the one you represented in the nationals so we can write back with better information

I Belong to jammu(j&k).
I have played 5 national chess tournaments. I have played two under - 19 chess tournment. I have played all india open school tournament. I have played two national fide championship. My preferene for colleges are -
1. Thappar
2. Pec
3. Vit
4. srm

Hi,
Was checking through the details of these universities. Thapar offers it for only Punjab sports people. Like wise PES for karnataka. The others VIT and SRM don't have a sports quota. However, i would suggest you write to these universities so you get the clear details from them. All the best
