Dear Student,

IIT-JAM merit is used to determine admission to NIT's M.Sc. Physics programme. You must therefore show up for IIT-JAM. You must have studied Physics and Mathematics for two years or two semesters in the prerequisite examination, which is a bachelor's degree from a recognised board, in order to be eligible for admission to the M.Sc. Physics programme. If you fall under the general category, your qualifying exam result must be at least 55% overall or a CGPA of 5.5 on a scale of 10. You must receive at least 50% overall or a 5.0 cumulative grade point average on a scale of 1 to 10 from a recognised board if you are a member of the SC, ST, or PWD.
