There are many Postgraduate programmes that you can join after completion of your MBBS degree.
POSTGRADUATE COURSES-
1.MD- Doctorate of medicine (MD): It is a two-year doctrate course that studies medicine in detail.

3. PG DIPLOMA: Various postgraduate diplomas of 2-year duration.
Diploma Specializations- Anaesthesia, Clinical Pathology, DVL, ENT, Health Education, Immunohematology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Occupational Health, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Pulmonary medicine, Radio-diagnosis, Radiation Medicine, Sports Medicine, Tropical medicine.
4. DNB- Diplomate of National Board: DNB is postgraduate or post-doctoral diplomas offered by the National Board of Examinations set up under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Government of India. The three-year training for DNB happens under a guide who may be in a public sector or private sector institution that has been accredited to conduct the training by the NBE. The NBE conducts the entrance and exit examinations after which the DNB is awarded. All DNB qualifications are recognized all over the country by the Medical Council of India. Like other programmes, there are many specialties offered at this degree too.
ENTRANCE EXAMS YOU NEED TO GIVE-
Admission to these programmes is based on entrance exams such as-
• NEET PG
• AIIMS PG
• JIPMER PG
• NEET MDS
• PGIMER
Out of this, NEET PG is the most important one since its score is accepted in almost all medical institutions of the country it is the only entrance examination to pursue Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Masters of Surgery (MS). National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducts the NEET PG exam for admission to all government, private, deemed and central universities/colleges across India.
