The placement process in Manipal University is really good and smooth.
Labs, and other facilities are good enough. Manipal University probably has one of the better labs when it comes to the bio-chemical labs as compared to other universities and institutes.
As far as placements are concerned, then good companies do visit Manipal University for biotech too.
They also provide you opportunity for good students to research from second/third year onwards. They also have an internationally competitive curriculum and many foreign partner university. Their laboratory and equipment's are also world class.
