According to the latest KCET reservation criteria 2020 released by KEA there is separate reservation for SC and ST, they do not compete on General merit. Note that there are certain condition which a candidate should fulfill in order to get seat through his/her reservation quota, and that is described below :-
Candidates will have to produce caste certificate/caste income certificate issued by concerned Jurisdictional Tahsildar in accordance with Government Regulations. The candidates will also need to hold Form ‘D’ in case of SC and ST.

KEA reserves certain seats for the candidates falling in the various categories as per the KCET 2020 reservation criteria. The seats are reserved for special categories candidates including Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), physically disabled.
Such candidates must produce ‘Caste Certificate/ Caste Income Certificate’ issued by the concerned Jurisdictional Tahasildar during document verification failing which their reservation is liable to be cancelled.
