For a rigid body the Poisson's ratio is equal to zero .
Also note that most materials have Poisson's ratio values ranging between 0.0 and 0.5.
And a perfectly incompressible material which is elastically deformed at small strains generally have a Poisson's ratio of exactly 0.5.
